Au Revoir Les Vacances

This school vacation has been practically perfect in every way.  Did we go to the Alps on a ski trip?  No.  The Med?  No.   Any other exotic location.  No.  We stayed home and hung out with friends and slept late and stayed up late and went swimming and to museums and parks and rode bikes and basked in the rare Clermont sunshine and enjoyed every single second of it.

*Our community was touched by tragedy last week as the husband of a friend at Massillon was killed in a motorcycle accident.  This unfathomable event has forever changed the perspectives of many people in Clermont but most definitely the lives of his loving wife and precious daughter.  Our prayers are with them during this unthinkable time in their lives.*

A couple of days ago I took the munchkins and their friend, Tag, on a hike near our new home.  Five kilometers down the road there is a "mountain" and a nice hiking trail with beautiful views of the city and a thick forest filled with lots of fun things for the kids to discover.  Most notably, sticks!
