Freddie has been on vacation this entire week and it has been delightful to have him home with us. We have had a date night and a day at the lake. We have had lazy days at home in our pjs taking naps and watching movies. Yesterday, we traveled an hour and a half away with some friends to an amusement park and zoo, Le Pal. The kids had a wonderful time! Sophia went on her very first roller coaster and water log ride... to which she says "That was awesome!". They both enjoyed twirling tea cups, pirate ships and being shaken by King Kong. Even Emily joined in on the attraction fun and she and I rode on a ride that took you up about 20 feet swirling around in imitation hot air balloons. I have to say she wasn't a huge fan but there were no tears nor was there a need for clean up. In addition to the rides, there were many zoo animals at the park and we got to see a sea lion show which the kids really enjoyed. The sun played peek-a-boo with us in the beginning but it turned out to be a beautiful sunshiny day.
